Gotta new crib!

'Sup DMV!

Here to tell ya I gotta new crib! I'm gonna live with a family in Old Town. There's four of 'em--2 big people and 2 little people. I heard they already bought me a lunge whip, squeaky toy, and collar. Yeah, I'm fancy, huh!

I'll be sorry to leave this crib, but now Gracie and I both will have our stuff to ourselves. I think she's tired of sharing. Also, Mom is getting weird. She tried to make me taste what she calls peanut butter, and laughed when I looked at her and backed away like she's some crazy B! That doesn't look or smell like kibble to me.

Anyway, it's time for me to spread my wings, er, helicopter my tail, and take off!

My Rap Sheet

Mom said I should do an update and make a list of all the good things about me. Here goes:

Main Attributes: Calm, sweet, affectionate, walk easily on a leash, rides well in a car, listen to commands, get along with other dogs (small and large), people and kid--friendly, let mom sleep in, and playful but not crazy.

Main Areas for Improvement: Need to work on not stealing Gracie's toys from under her, to be more confident around big, loud groups (Mom forces me to walk through them, and as soon as they start petting me, I stop hiding behind her and soak it all in!). I will continue to need a little push on this, but I'm already coming around very well in the two weeks I've been here.

Best Improvements so Far: Mom had to tell me twice not to use her table to scratch my itchy gums. But as soon as I saw she was serious, I stopped. I may get the urge, I confess, so Mom keeps an eye on me for now and still crates me when she's gone. But I haven't done it since--stuffies are so much better!

Things I Haven't Experienced Yet: A real kitty cat up close. I've been interested and barked at two of them, but I don't really want to hurt them--just see up a little closer! Mom thinks I'd get along with them too, but if you have a cat, she'll try to find one that's not scared of me, and introduce us.

Ideal Home: People who like to pet greyhounds, and who will take me to play at a dogpark or have a yard so that I can chase my squeaky tennis balls--I do love it so!

Favorite Food: so far, I love Gracie's Nilla Wafers (Mom said G. has kidney disease, so has to be on a special diet). I also love my kibble (Mom spikes it with a little of G.'s chicken and rice), and I'm getting to understand why Mom's homemade Frosty Paws are so delicious!

Least Favorite Thing: Getting my teeth brushed with poultry-flavored toothpaste. Gross! Who are they trying to fool? I want minty-fresh breath like Mom!

Lunnnnnnge Whippin'!

I got my lunge whip at Amazon.com for $12. GREAT way to exercise greys who really need it!

Quick note

'cause I am dog tired!

We went to the dog park today, and I tore it up! I loved chasing those tennis balls. Mom seemed to like that I caught them and brought them right back to drop at her feet. She said I'm the best foster she's ever had. Word!

I also made friends with a chihuahua, and charmed every human there.

Off to nap...sweet dreams!

Da life for me!

Foster Mom was so excited that I let her hold me like a baby! Gracie doesn't let her. It was the bomb!

I just laid there very still, soakin' it all in!

I've been chillin' at this crib for a week now. Every day is a new experience.
Yesterday, we took it to the Four Mile Run trail. I was cautious around all the new
faces and butts...a guy can never be too careful about his rep. But Mom says as I build confidence (I'm still a young pup!) I will be the perfect gentleman.

Ridin' in Mom's wheels is straight up fresh, and I like to relax on the seat while looking out the window. I'm also a pro athlete when it comes to stairs and lunge whipping. We'll post a video soon!
Rap withcha later...we're off to another fresh trail!
