'Sup DMV!
Here to tell ya I gotta new crib! I'm gonna live with a family in Old Town. There's four of 'em--2 big people and 2 little people. I heard they already bought me a lunge whip, squeaky toy, and collar. Yeah, I'm fancy, huh!
I'll be sorry to leave this crib, but now Gracie and I both will have our stuff to ourselves. I think she's tired of sharing. Also, Mom is getting weird. She tried to make me taste what she calls peanut butter, and laughed when I looked at her and backed away like she's some crazy B! That doesn't look or smell like kibble to me.
Anyway, it's time for me to spread my wings, er, helicopter my tail, and take off!

My Rap Sheet
Mom said I should do an update and make a list of all the good things about me. Here goes:
Main Attributes: Calm, sweet, affectionate, walk easily on a leash, rides well in a car, listen to commands, get along with other dogs (small and large), people and kid--friendly, let mom sleep in, and playful but not crazy.
Main Areas for Improvement: Need to work on not stealing Gracie's toys from under her, to be more confident around big, loud groups (Mom forces me to walk through them, and as soon as they start petting me, I stop hiding behind her and soak it all in!). I will continue to need a little push on this, but I'm already coming around very well in the two weeks I've been here.
Best Improvements so Far: Mom had to tell me twice not to use her table to scratch my itchy gums. But as soon as I saw she was serious, I stopped. I may get the urge, I confess, so Mom keeps an eye on me for now and still crates me when she's gone. But I haven't done it since--stuffies are so much better!
Things I Haven't Experienced Yet: A real kitty cat up close. I've been interested and barked at two of them, but I don't really want to hurt them--just see up a little closer! Mom thinks I'd get along with them too, but if you have a cat, she'll try to find one that's not scared of me, and introduce us.
Ideal Home: People who like to pet greyhounds, and who will take me to play at a dogpark or have a yard so that I can chase my squeaky tennis balls--I do love it so!
Favorite Food: so far, I love Gracie's Nilla Wafers (Mom said G. has kidney disease, so has to be on a special diet). I also love my kibble (Mom spikes it with a little of G.'s chicken and rice), and I'm getting to understand why Mom's homemade Frosty Paws are so delicious!
Least Favorite Thing: Getting my teeth brushed with poultry-flavored toothpaste. Gross! Who are they trying to fool? I want minty-fresh breath like Mom!

Lunnnnnnge Whippin'!
I got my lunge whip at Amazon.com for $12. GREAT way to exercise greys who really need it!

Quick note
'cause I am dog tired!
We went to the dog park today, and I tore it up! I loved chasing those tennis balls. Mom seemed to like that I caught them and brought them right back to drop at her feet. She said I'm the best foster she's ever had. Word!
I also made friends with a chihuahua, and charmed every human there.
Off to nap...sweet dreams!

Da life for me!
Foster Mom was so excited that I let her hold me like a baby! Gracie doesn't let her. It was the bomb!

A Busy Day
Well, today was a day all about learnin'. I was high, I was low, I was happy, I was sad. I ran my buttocks off, I relaxed in my crate. Mom was mad, then she wasn't, then she was, then she wasn't. I'm ready to kick it back and chill the rest of the night.
First, I could not be outdone by that homey Rex. I said to Mom let's do stairs again. I gotta prove my colors.
Rex, are you watching? They're not even carpeted!

"And I shake it all night!"
What's up DMV?! I am diggin' this retired life. I'm still a good boy--it's no front. I'm cool as a cucumber. Today, I let Mom sleep in until she was ready to wake up. I let her show me how to do the stairs, though I still need practice. So far, I'm cool with little and big dogs. Mom just needs to introduce me to some Catz.
I won't bite or hurt ya if you give me food from your hand. I also let Mom put medicine on my privates, brush my teeth, and give me pills. I ain't mad at her! In fact, I follow her everywhere and love getting hugs, massages, neck rubs and kisses.
I met a little human neighborhood dude, and he wanted to say hi. That's cool, I liked him. No problemo!
Gotta split, Mom's taking me outside for some stuffy action!

Gracie, my Shawty
I never thought I'd be down with an older woman, but this Gracie is SOMEthin'. I find myself acting crazy around her...kissing her, wanting to walk next to her, trying to play tug of war with the moocow, and wanting to be on the same bed. She acts like she don't want it by growling, but I don't see her pushing me off!
I do like me some fine cushioning for my bones, and I was checking out the cold weather hound threads in the closet earlier. Can y'all believe it snowed this morning?!
Mom caught me playing with the Migrator stuffy, and I thought I was in trouble. I was tossing it up in the air and catching it. Must be okay since today she threw it for me. That was cool.
Otherwise, I'm just laying low. Mom can't believe I'm 2 because I'm so calm and chill. But as I get used to this retired life, I know I can shake it up from time to time.

Davis is in da house!
'Sup, y'all! I transferred to my new crib this weekend. Foster Mom and Gracie met me at the Leesburg Outlets, and after Denise left, they tried to take me shopping! Girls...Well I was def. NOT down wit that! So we got in our ride and rolled down the Dulles T-R and here I am.
Everyone makes fun of the way I wear my ears, but I keep tellin' 'em that's how we do it in the mid-west, yo. Kinda like these homeys in the DMV wearing they caps to one side.
Anyway, I'm just chillin' and takin' it easy. These peeps here are so surprised at my manners, but while I'm dope on the outside, I'm a gentleman on the inside. I know where to pee, I haven't gotten into anything, and I'm pretty confident so I don't try to jump the fence or anything. Oh, Mom says I walk like The Dream. Or did she say a dream? I hope she meant I swagger like The Dream. Anyway, sorry if y'all don't get my references. You just need to get down wit some hip-hop!
Check out http://http://www.greyrescue.org/ and send a shout out to Denise if you're interested in me!
